Prepositions are one of the mostly used words in English Language. Prepositions indicate where are when something has happened. The name preposition itself explains mostly about it , tells us about position and pre means before.

Where are prepositions used .

Prepositions mostly comes before a noun or another word which can be an -ing  fprm of verb. some of most commomly used prepositions are : on,it,of,with,for,at,from,by .

A preposition helps you Know exactly what the situation is and when its going to happen.

like when some danger is approaching thanks to the preposition as it helps us know the exact time its going to happen like where is it when will it be arriving.

Various prepositions

There are types of prepositions like prepositions indicate direction,space relationships,time and location as well as other types of abstract relationships.

for e.g;

Direction : Look at the left you'll see Taj Mahal.

Space relationships : The cats under the Bed.

Location : We saw a Lion at the zoo.

Time : I've been at the tution since morning.

Some examples

There is no perfect way to determin what prepositions can be used where. Only way one can be better at it is by practicing it and being a high quality scholar at grammar.

E.g; We ate lunch with our guests today.

The staff was waiting for the boss to arrive.

We were providding food to the poor.

I am about to start my workout.

End a sentence with Preposition

Earlier it ws said that that it is wrong to end  a sentence with prepositions which now has been corrected . there is no wrong in ending a sentence with prepositions.

E.g; This is something we should discuss about.

Incorrect Prepositions

Sometimes people use prepositions which are not necessary but sound alright although it is not the correct way.

E.g; Where is your mother at ?

the correct sentence would be , where is your mother?
